Bike Data Project

The Bike Data Project used data shared by citizens around the world to show where and when people rode their bicycles. That data helped local communities and decision-makers make cycling — and cities — safer.

It brought cycling data from many different applications together into a single platform that, built on the principles of open source and open data, was adaptable and accessible to everyone so the insights could benefit society.

Open Knowledge Belgium no longer hosts the Bike Data Project, but it lives on independently — you can still explore it at bikedataproject.org.
